Boys, do you really want this?

Brag about your latest multiplayer wins or other sailing, navigation stuff. Basically anything goes.

Boys, do you really want this?

OK, you can be couch potatoes!
If you really want to sail competitively, get ready.
LTAD, a training, competition, and recovery program based on developmental age — the maturation level of an individual — rather than chronological age. It is athlete centred, coach driven, and administration, sport science, and sponsor supported. Athletes who progress through LTAD experience training and competition in programs that consider their biological and training ages in creating periodized plans specific to their development needs.

If you can't handle this, stay out of competitive sailing.
I will propose (no disrespect intended) a place for players and a place for athletes. There is no criticism at all if you enjoy the game, cruisers do not know the racing rules. Racers DO have to know them, and like I said no criticism. I too love going out for a relaxing sail with my wife and having lunch on board.
