Raymarine AIS500

Beste mensen,

I'm experimenting with an AIS500 myself, also in Camden! I'm mostly using NMEA 2000, which has its own issues, but I believe the concept for you is this:

1. Disconnect any 0183 wires currently going to your C120 and reconnect them to the two regular 4800 baud input/output pairs coming from the AIS500.

2. Connect the two high speed (38,400) 0183 data pairs (the orange striped ones) from the AIS 500 to the C120.

3. Go to the C120's setup menu and change the NMEA 0183 port from 4800 to 38,400 (aka AIS).

Everything should work as before, except you'll have AIS info on the C120. Look for "Gizmo" in the Inner Harbor this afternoon and call me on 16!
