Puzzled..Is ANYBODY interested in scenery/content making?

Puzzled..Is anybody interested in scenery and content making at all anyehere.

Apparently not seems to be the answer except with the few exceptions.
However it would not have taken much effort to have had 100s of sceneries available now for many parts of the world.

Ordnance Survey maps give enough detail for high and Low water marks, and as it is not a maritime ocean simulator, general sea charts of the area or digital data would give the details for coastal depths and shallows, if that is what you want.

So approximate depths are good enough to make an interesting sail along coastlines modelled on reality using satellite data.
My choice of sail though is gaff rig or square rig, as then the scenery can be given more realism. Much was then rural and small villages and towns. These could be created quite easily if required, without a drain on frame rates but needs the 32 bit textures for backdrops (works only motorboat sim at present)

The only things that are required is being able to move user made boats and tides. We already have a lighting function for lighthouses and buoys, etc.
Of course better terrain texturing, being able to sail from one scenery into another, realistic sea texturing, variable dynamic weather would all be nice.
I am sure even boats would then be developed by users to suit the various interests.
FreeShip or something similar can be used for the hull shapes and can easily be finished with Blender.
Make a start. House inn or skyscrapers for content takes just 5 to 10 minutes. Multiply them up and you have a town or village in 20 minutes. Add whatever quays, docks you wish to make.
Then once you know the basics try some boats.

I think a lot of us are waiting for SS5 to see what changes there are.

See 2 threads in Scenery Designer section.
1. Realism in Sceneries. Now and with the Next Version.
2. What sceneries would you like to sail on.

P.S The Scenery Designer forum is where it is all happening ....or not.
